Salary starting at $58,080 yearly. Please be advised that pay is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Director is responsible for operational policy development and legal/regulatory compliance for the organization. This position participates in the development of best practice guidance for the managers of the corporation, investigates violations of policy or practice, and makes recommendations for corrective action. The Director is responsible to test compliance with fiscal policies, HR policies, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of work experience in administration or the human services field or any combination of education and applicable work experience equaling a minimum of eight years.
2. DHS/ODP Certified Incident Investigator.
3. Demonstrated leadership ability and management experience.
4. Ability to function with and relate to persons with mental retardation.
5. Understanding of state and federal laws as well as best practices regarding documentation and recordkeeping, the investigatory process, and reporting findings.
6. Demonstrated writing proficiency.
7. PA driver’s license.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Review existing policies and procedures and test for compliance as assigned.
2. Develop required or recommended policies and procedures; communicate the policies and procedures to stakeholders. Review and update policies as laws change.
3. Overall responsibility for incident management process including performing annual incident management training and conducting incident investigations as assigned by the Chief Operations Officer or designee.
4. Develop and conduct compliance reviews to include but not limited to I-9 reviews, Quality Management, and civil rights compliance.
5. Serve as HIPAA Compliance Officer.
6. Serve as Incident Management Representative.
7. Serve on or chair corporate committee as assigned.
8. Conduct personnel and workers compensation investigations.
9. Provide training or technical support for development or implementation of best practice models.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
11. Regular attendance at work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Director position. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the position.
Safety precautions are observed in order to reduce incidents of risk factors for typical office environment which are adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. Example: avoiding trips and falls, back care, and observing fire regulations.
• May need to sit or stand. May sit for a prolonged period of time with intense concentration. May be required to walk on a level surface periodically throughout the day. May be required to reach above the shoulder, below the waist or lift documents or materials throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques are required for occasional lifting/moving up to 30 pounds. May be required to walk up and down stairs periodically throughout the day. Finger dexterity and close vision ability are required.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to move in and around personal work space and to and from other areas of the office or building to deliver/retrieve material, attend meetings, or other activities outside of personal work space with reasonable accommodations, if necessary, to perform essential job functions successfully.
